Purpose of the device

The TL-SF1016DS Fast Ethernet Switch is a standard, high-performance, low-cost, seamless networking device for upgrading an old network to 100Mbps throughput. All 16 ports support auto-MDI/MDIX technology, no need to worry about the cable type, just plug the cable into the device. What's more, with its innovative energy-saving technology, the TL-SF1016DS switch can save up to 70%* of power consumption. 80% of the packaging material can be recycled. Therefore, the switch is an environmentally friendly solution for your business network.

Energy saving technology

The TL-SF1016DS Next Generation Fast Ethernet Switch is equipped with the latest energy-saving technologies that can increase your network bandwidth with significantly less power consumption. The device automatically selects the power mode based on connection status and cable length in order to conserve power and thereby limit the carbon footprint of power generation.
The device also complies with Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS), which prohibits the use of certain hazardous substances. In addition, 80% of the packaging material can be recycled.

Excellent Performance

The rack-mountable metal case, combined with a certified internal power supply, make the switch the most advanced, low-cost 16 user line product. Using a non-blocking architecture, the TL-SF1016DS switch can transmit and filter packets at the highest possible network speed for maximum throughput. The TL-SF1016DS switch also supports IEEE 802.3x flow control for full duplex mode and reverse flow control for half duplex mode to avoid congestion and ensure reliable data transmission, which ensures the reliability of the switch.

Ease of use

The auto-negotiation features of the Fast Ethernet switch make it easy to install the device. No additional configuration required. Auto-MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables. The auto-negotiation feature on each port detects the connection speed of the network device (10 and 100 Mbps) and configures compatibility and optimal operation.
